Shanie Ryan began her career in the entertainment industry as a professional dancer, training at prestigious institutions like Laine Theatre Arts and The London Studio Centre. Her dance career saw her touring globally, performing as a backing dancer for prominent artists such as Kelly Rowland, Cheryl Cole, Prince, and Beyonce. She also had singing opportunities, including backing vocals for Leona Lewis and a role in the girl group ‘Duchess,’ signed to Universal Records. This early exposure to the entertainment world provided her with foundational experience in live performance and media.
Transitioning into presenting, Shanie quickly gained recognition for her natural on-camera presence. Her first significant presenting role involved covering backstage interviews at Wireless Festival, which led to work with MTV on ‘The Wrap Up.’ Her presenting portfolio expanded to include programmes for Fashion TV, GRM Daily, and guest appearances on NBC’s ‘The Today Show.’ She has hosted live events for organizations such as the BFI, Nike, London Fashion Week, and Black Tech Fest. Her interviewing skills were showcased with ‘Your Cinema’ in association with Vue Cinema and The British Film Institute, where she interviewed notable actors including Daniel Kaluya, Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill, Noel Clarke, Ashley Walters, David Harewood, Damson Idris, and Aml Ameen.
Beyond presenting, Shanie Ryan diversified her career into property, beauty, and radio. She is the co-founder of ‘His & Hers Renovations & Interiors’ with her husband Tony Sinclair, where she oversees interior design. Their projects have been featured in publications like the Metro, Daily Mail, and First Time Buyer magazine. As a qualified beauty expert with over 18 years of experience, she regularly appears on QVC in the UK and Europe, and TVSN in Australia. She has represented ‘Nails Inc’ for nearly a decade and became a brand ambassador and on-screen talent for the ‘ESHO’ brand in 2023. In radio, she has presented weekend breakfast shows on Rinse FM and Select Radio FM before joining Global Radio’s Capital Xtra 96.9 FM. Her podcast, ‘Influence Me,’ was recognized by The Radio Times as a top podcast in 2020.
