As a senior, he achieved 1,332 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, alongside 47 tackles and two interceptions. Rogers continued his football career at Auburn University from 2001 to 2004, playing for the Auburn Tigers. He started 44 games, accumulating 182 tackles, seven interceptions, and two fumble recoveries. He set Auburn’s career record with forty pass deflections, a figure that ranks second in SEC history. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

His professional journey began when the Washington Redskins selected him as the ninth overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft. Rogers played with the Redskins until 2010 before joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2011, where he earned a Pro Bowl selection and Second-team All-Pro honors.
