Shannon Noll is a popular Australian singer-songwriter. On Instagram he has 61.4k followers, with a growing influence online. He was born in 1975 in Orange, New South Wales. He was the youngest of three children and his childhood years were spent on a farm. With his brothers he formed the band ‘Cypress’, in which he sang and played the guitar. Although the group played cover songs, they also wrote their own music.
After finishing school Noll travelled to Sydney.
Noll increased his fame in 2003 when he was a runner up in the first season of ‘Australian Idol’. He was then signed to Sony BMG, where his fame increased. Noll went on to release several multi-platinum albums, including ‘That’s what I’m Talking About’ and ‘Lift’. He has released five top ten albums and his first ten singles were in the ARIA top ten. His debut single, ‘What About Me’, was the highest selling single in Australia in 2004.
Noll has received six ‘ARIA Music Award’ nominations. He won the MTV Australia Video Music Award for Best Male Artist three years in a row (2005-2007). Noll signed for a time with Universal Music before signing with Warner Music Australia. In 2004 Noll married Rochelle Ogston and together they have three children, Cody, Blake and Sienna.
