About

Shannon Niquette Ratliff, born Shannon Stewart, established her career in fashion modeling, notably as a contestant on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ (ANTM). She first appeared on Cycle 1 of the reality television series, where she was recognized for her religious beliefs and ultimately placed as the runner-up. During her time on Cycle 1, Stewart made a significant decision to refuse to pose naked in the top four, a stance that highlighted her personal convictions within the competitive modeling environment. Following her initial appearance on ANTM, she continued to pursue modeling, signing with prominent agencies such as Elite Models in Chicago and Major Model Management.

Her modeling portfolio includes work for Nuj Novakhett, ‘ElleGirl,’ ‘Teen Vogue,’ ‘Sydney,’ ‘Six Degrees,’ and Ford Fusion. Stewart was featured on the covers of ‘Arizona Foothills’ and ‘Sound & Vision’ magazines. Her runway experience includes participation in Elle Girl presents Dare To Be You: Wal-Mart Meets America’s Next Top Models in 2005, and various shows in 2006 for designers and events such as Richard Tyler, Alice and Olivia, Sprite Street Couture, Fashion Institute of Technology, Gustavo Arango, Alice Dobson, and Olympus Fashion Week. Her career saw a return to ANTM in Cycle 17, ‘All-Stars,’ where she again garnered attention for her commitment to her faith, refusing to pose in lingerie for photoshoots and facing criticism for her decisions. She was eliminated in the ninth episode of All-Stars.

In her post-modeling career, Shannon Stewart has evolved into a writer and speaker. She is a wife, previously married to Matt Ratliff in 2007. Her current focus involves sharing personal experiences related to faith, redemption, and overcoming challenges, as evidenced by her blog posts and discussions on topics such as ‘When Your Legacy Looks Different Than You Imagined’ and ‘Forgiven and Free.’ Her public platform addresses themes of moral choices, personal struggles, and spiritual growth, aiming to inspire others with her story of transformation.
