Shehnaaz Gill

Shehnaaz Gill was born on January 27, 1994, in Beas, Amritsar, India. She completed her schooling at Dalhousie Hilltop School and earned a commerce degree from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara. From a young age, Gill displayed a strong interest in acting and singing, which led her to pursue a career in entertainment. Her modeling journey began in 2015 with an appearance in the music video “Shiv Di Kitaab.” She continued to feature in various music videos in 2016, including “Shartaan: Deep Bhangu feat. Shehnaz Kaur Gill” and “Rishtey Te Rishta.” Her acting debut came in 2017 with the Punjabi film “Sat Shri Akaal England,” directed by Vikram Pradhan. In 2019, she starred in another Punjabi film, “Kala Shah Kala,” alongside Binnu Dhillon and Sargun Mehta.

A significant turning point in Gill’s career was her participation in the reality television show “Bigg Boss 13” in 2019, where she emerged as the second runner-up. During her time on the show, she released singles such as “Veham,” “Sidewalk,” “Range,” and “Ronda Ali Peti.” Her post-Bigg Boss career saw her featured in numerous popular music videos, including Darshan Raval’s “Bhula Dunga” (2020), Jassie Gill’s “Keh Gayi Sorry” (2020), and Badshah & Uchana Amit’s “Fly” (2021). In 2021, she co-starred with Diljit Dosanjh in the Punjabi film “Honsla Rakh” and was also featured in her own music video, “Shehnaaz Gill: Tu Yaheen Hai.” She further expanded her television presence with an appearance in “Shaandaar Ravivar” (2020) and by hosting her talk show, “Desi Vibes With Shehnaaz,” where she has interviewed prominent Bollywood personalities like Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Kapil Sharma.

Gill made her Hindi film debut in 2023 with “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” produced by Salman Khan, followed by “Thank You for Coming.” In 2024, she made a special appearance in the song “Sajna Ve Sajna” from “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.” Her upcoming projects include the films “Sab First Class” and “Singh vs Kaur 2” in 2025. She is also exploring her role as a producer, with “Ikk Kudi” (2025) being her debut production. Throughout her career, Gill has received accolades such as the Bollywood Life Television Award (2021) for Best Social Media TV Couple with Sidharth Shukla and the “Promising Fresh Face” award at the ET Inspiring Women Awards (2021).
