Sherry Vine

Sherry Vine established herself as a groundbreaking digital artist, notably achieving viral success with her ‘Bad Romance’ parody in 2009, which garnered over 6 million views and cemented her status as one of the first drag queens to achieve such reach on YouTube. Her professional career began with a relocation to New York City in 1990, where she quickly debuted her drag artistry in Los Angeles in 1991 with the one-act play Sorry, Wrong Number. By 1992, she officially adopted the Sherry Vine persona, quickly becoming a prominent figure in the New York drag circuit. She co-founded Theatre Couture in 1992 with Joe Gross and Douglass Sanders, becoming a frequent performer in their East Village shows throughout the 1990s.

Continuing her dynamic career, Vine has maintained a strong presence in television, serving as the creator and host of She’s Living for This on Here TV since 2012. Her theatrical work includes performances in Doll in 2000 and Carrie in 2006, both staged at Performance Space 122. More recently, she showcased her acting in an episode of Station 19 in 2020, and further expanded her hosting portfolio with The Sherry Vine Show in 2021. Sherry Vine’s enduring career, now spanning over three decades, continues to evolve with recent projects.

In 2024, she performed in the new show ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ in D.C. Celebrated for her adaptability and unique comedic style, Vine remains a dynamic force in entertainment, thriving across live stage, film, television, and groundbreaking digital content.
