Si Thu Lwin, born on March 25, 1973, in Yangon, Myanmar, emerged as a luminary in the realm of Burmese pop music and cinema. As the sole son of Ngwe Kyi, a renowned cartoonist, and Daw Kywe, his upbringing was imbued with creativity and artistic flair. After earning a mathematics degree from Rangoon University, Si Thu Lwin embarked on a journey that would intertwine his passion for music and performance with his innate talent.
His ascent to stardom commenced with a resounding victory alongside Tin Zar Maw in a singing contest organized by U Saw Nu in 1993. This triumph heralded the release of his debut album, “Chit Thu Myar Yet Nayt” (The Day of Lovers), in 1995, which swiftly captivated audiences across Myanmar.
