Sijara SarJ Eubanks is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently fights in the women’s bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, currently holding number 13 in the UFC women’s bantamweight rankings. Eubanks began her career in competitions for the International Brazillian Jiu-jitsu Federation,, winning 1st place in the Women’s No-Gi Advanced Absolute division in the 2011 Grapplers Quest World Championship Finals; Eubanks had an undefeated MMA record as an amateur, so it was no surprise that she turned professional in 2015.
Eubanks won her first fight via TKO in the first round against Gina Begley at Invicta FC 12, as well as in her second fight for promotion against AmberLynn Orr where she also spectacularly won the fight via TKO. Eubanks uses her skill at fighting to promote LGBTQ rights, being an openly lesbian athlete, saying that whilst she absolutely loves training and competing, she likes to think of herself as less of an athlete and more of a positive role model to youth and minorities of today. Eubanks also has a young daughter, who she loves to post about on her Instagram as she values family very highly – with over 15 thousand followers. Eubanks loves to try out new sports, and has recently been taking up hatchet throwing as well as spending time with her young daughter.
