Silvana Tirinzoni

Silvana Tirinzoni has established herself as a dominant force in professional curling, achieving multiple World and European Championship titles and Grand Slam victories. Her career reflects consistent high-level performance and strategic team leadership. After leading her team to victory at the 1999 World Junior Curling Championships, Silvana Tirinzoni established herself as a formidable force in professional curling. This breakthrough marked her first major international title, secured after her team finished the round robin in second place and earned decisive wins in the semi-final and final matches.

Prior to this, Tirinzoni gained valuable experience as an alternate for the Swiss team at the 1997 World Junior Curling Championships and then skipped the Swiss junior team to a sixth-place finish in 1998. Her senior international career began with appearances at the World Women’s Curling Championship in 2006 and again in 2007, where her team achieved a fifth-place finish. In 2017, Tirinzoni led her team to triumph in the rigorous Swiss Olympic Curling Trials, successfully qualifying for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The 2018–19 season saw Tirinzoni strategically transition roles, skipping her team from the third position while Alina Pätz delivered fourth rocks.

Looking ahead, she has qualified for the upcoming 2026 Olympic Games, building on her previous appearances at the 2018 PyeongChang and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
