Sky Brown

Sky Brown is an Olympic medalist and world champion skateboarder who has attracted significant attention through her competitive achievements and compelling personal story. After becoming the youngest competitor ever at the Vans US Open in 2016, Sky Brown quickly rose through the ranks of professional skateboarding. Demonstrating exceptional talent and an innate ability, she secured second place in the Asian Continental Finals in 2017 and achieved a top 10 finish in the highly competitive 2018 Vans Park Series. Her rapid progression underscored her burgeoning impact on the sport globally.

Her dedication was tested in May 2020 when she sustained severe injuries, including multiple skull fractures, during training, but she demonstrated remarkable resilience in her recovery. Brown’s determination culminated in July 2021 when she secured a gold medal at the X Games women’s skateboarding park event. Representing Great Britain at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the park skateboarding event, making her Great Britain’s youngest-ever Olympic medalist. She continued this impressive momentum, retaining her X Games title in 2022 and winning the Dew Tour event for the second consecutive year.

In 2023, Brown further cemented her status by becoming the first British skateboarding world champion, winning the park event at the World Skateboarding Championship in Sharjah. Most recently, Brown continued her Olympic success, securing another bronze medal in the park event at the 2024 Summer Olympics, just a week after dislocating her shoulder. This most recent achievement further solidifies her position as a leading and resilient figure in global skateboarding, consistently pushing boundaries and achieving top-tier results in the sport’s most prestigious competitions.
