Slim – 112

Marvin “Slim” Scandrick, born on September 25, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American contemporary R&B singer. He gained prominence as the lead singer and frontman for the R&B group 112, a group discovered by Tim & Bob, and later signed with Bad Boy Records. During the 1990s, Slim played a significant role in defining the R&B sound with 112, which produced chart-topping songs such as “Only You,” “Cupid,” “Peaches & Cream,” and “Anywhere.” His vocal style and contributions to songwriting, including tracks like “Dance With Me” and “Love Me,” helped solidify the group’s position in the music industry for over two decades.

In 2008, Slim embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album, “Love’s Crazy.” This album reached No. 32 on the Billboard 200 chart and featured the hit single “So Fly,” which peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Another single from the album, “Good Lovin’,” reached No. 39 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. He followed this with his album “Re-Fueled” in 2016. Currently, Slim continues to be active in music, with plans for new releases, including the single “Somebody to Love” dropping in June 2025, and a national tour with Case and Total scheduled for Fall 2025. He also leads his own label, M3 Productions, established around 2008 in partnership with Asylum Records.
