Marvin Scandrick, better known as Slim, is an American contemporary R&B singer best known as the frontman for the R&B group 112. With successes like “Only You,” “Anywhere,” and the Grammy Award-nominated tune “Peaches & Cream,” they achieved a lot of success in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 1997, the group received a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for their collaboration with Sean Combs and Faith Evans on the song “I’ll Be Missing You.” 112 also are multi-platinum record holders.
Slim opted to pursue a solo career after 112’s fifth album, Pleasure & Pain, was released in 2005. Slim’s single “So Fly,” featuring Yung Joc, was released in 2008 and was enthusiastically accepted by R&B fans and DJs alike, reaching #49 on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album, “Love’s Crazy,” was released in 2008 and featured other hit singles such as “Good Lovin” ( Featured Ryan Leslie and Fabolous ), “Heels On” (Featuring Young Berg and Deezo), and “Loves Crazy (Featuring Big Boy),” and “All Cried Out.” In 2016 he released his follow-up album, “Re-Fueled.”
He is now the CEO of M3 Productions, his own music label, Since his solo career, Slim has continued to grow as an artist and performer.
