Socal Val

Valerie Wyndham, also known by her ring name SoCal Val, was born on March 27, 1986. Her career in professional wrestling began in March 2002 with Golden State Championship Wrestling in Anaheim, California. Initially fulfilling roles as a manager, ring girl, and timekeeper, she quickly developed her ring persona, SoCal Val, drawing inspiration from notable figures in the wrestling industry. After her family relocated to Orlando, Florida, she continued to expand her presence in the independent circuit.

Wyndham’s career progressed with appearances for WWE in early 2005 on SmackDown! and a long-standing commitment with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from June 2005. At TNA, she held various roles, including ring girl, merchandise model, and interviewer for ‘TNA Global Impact!’. In August 2006, she officially signed with TNA, transitioning into on-screen storylines. A notable period included a storyline relationship with Jay Lethal in 2008, where her character evolved from a romantic interest to a ‘gold digger’ before returning to her duties as a ring girl and backstage interviewer. From June 2010 onwards, she served as the primary ring announcer for ‘Xplosion’.

After parting ways with TNA in August 2013, Wyndham continued her work in the wrestling world, joining Shine Wrestling in 2014 as a manager, forming the stable Valifornia. She made a brief return to TNA in January 2015 as a ring announcer for their UK tour. In 2018, she appeared as a hostess and commentator for the UK television series ‘World of Sport Wrestling’. Beyond wrestling, Valerie has engaged in other media, including a video promo for the game F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin in 2009, and appearing as a ring announcer in the 2013 film ‘Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies’. Since 2019, she has diversified her hosting roles, working with YouTube channels such as ‘ScreenStalker’ and ‘Wrestletalk’, and regularly hosts celebrity panels at fan conventions for Monopoly Events.
