Spencer Charnas

Ice Nine Kills frontman, producer and actor Spencer Charnas is redefining the metal scene. Known for his haunting, horror-inspired lyrics, Charnas’ unique style has seen the band evolve from its ska-punk roots into its definitive “theatricore” sound. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Charnas’ interest in local histories such as the Salem witch trials and his fascination with the macabre have become a common theme of the band’s musical styling. Together with former bandmate Jeremy Schwartz, Charnas formed the group in their high school years. To date, Ice Nine Kills have released three EPs: The Burning, 2 Song Acoustic and The Predator. As the sole surviving member of the original band lineup, Charnas has been part of the band’s story from the beginning. With five studio albums under his belt, including the chart-topping, Every Trick in the Book and The Silver Scream, Charnas’ impact on the industry will continue to inspire future generations.

Away from the music scene, Charnas is gaining momentum in his horror-film career. With the upcoming features The Dark Offerings and The Retaliators, Charnas’s star power is about to grow. Aside from performance, Charnas has created the horror lifestyle brand Kleaver which is based “out of historically sinister Salem, MA.” From clothing to comic books, Charnas is working alongside Z2 Comics to produce INK’s debut graphic novel, INKed In Blood. With a range of exciting projects in the works and bursting with new and fresh ideas, Charnas will be entertaining audiences for years to come.
