Stephanie Cowan

Stephanie Cowan began her professional journey in musical theatre, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Penn State University between 2010 and 2014. Her education included participation in various theatrical productions such as “Guys and Dolls,” “Sweeney Todd,” and “Into the Woods.” Following her graduation, Cowan shifted her career focus, leveraging her creative background to enter the marketing and advertising industry. In May 2016, she established Stephanie Cowan Photography as a Freelance Photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on brand storytelling and corporate headshots. Concurrently, in May 2016, she co-founded Gold Toast, an agency specializing in digital agency services, brand design, website design, and photography, where she serves as Chief Executive Officer.

Cowan continued to expand her entrepreneurial endeavors in May 2023 by founding Square Toast, a Squarespace template marketplace designed to provide elevated website designs and comprehensive tutorials. Her early career also included a role as Social Media Manager at Van West Media from January to July 2017, where she was responsible for content creation, social media strategy, and account management for various social platforms. Throughout her career, Cowan has emphasized authenticity in her work, striving to capture the true essence of her clients through her photography. Her studio in the Mission District of San Francisco is equipped for both solo and group shoots, offering professional and polished results. She has built a reputation as a photographer for executives and technology companies in the San Francisco area, offering services in corporate headshots, editorial portraiture, and brand storytelling.
