Stephanie Venier

Stephanie Venier is a former Austrian World Cup alpine skier, specializing in speed events, who achieved multiple World Cup victories and World Championship medals. After making her World Cup debut in January 2013 in St. Anton, Stephanie Venier quickly established herself as a formidable talent in alpine skiing speed events. Venier’s journey in professional skiing commenced with her first FIS event start in Jerzens in 2008, followed by her European Cup debut in Bad Kleinkirchheim in 2012, where she ranked 19th in Downhill.

There, Venier delivered a career highlight by clinching a highly coveted gold medal in the Super-G event, achieving a long-standing goal of securing a World Championship title. Additionally, at the same championships, she further decorated her career by earning a bronze medal in the team combined event, underscoring her versatility and team contribution. In August 2025, just six months after her triumphant World Championship Super-G victory, Stephanie Venier announced her retirement from active ski racing. Citing recurring knee issues and a sense of having achieved her professional aspirations, particularly winning a medal at the home World Championships, Venier concluded her career as one of Austria’s most decorated alpine skiers, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.
