Viral sensation and LGBT activist Steve Grand is an American singer, songwriter, and model. In July 2013, the music video for his debut single, “All-American Boy,” went viral on YouTube in less than a week, making him an instant internet star. Grand appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, and other national media as a result of this exposure. He has since established himself as a prominent voice in the LGBT equality movement in addition to being a musician. He successfully raised money for his debut album, All American Boy, through a successful Kickstarter crowdsourcing campaign. 2018 saw the release of a follow-up album, Not the End of Me.
Grand has emerged as a key media figure in the fight for LGBT equality. He is a singer-songwriter and performer who has also collaborated with The Human Rights Campaign and appeared at Pride events, as well as partnering with The March on Springfield for Marriage Equality, the Anti-Violence Project, Bailey House, the GLSEN Respect Awards, and Out & Equal Workplace Advocates. He participated in the opening ceremonies of WorldPride in 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Grand travelled to Riga, Latvia in June 2015 to instruct a master’s course and take part in the Europride event that was held there.
As a young, talented, gay artist, Grand has received numerous media accolades. He was included in Out magazine’s “Out100” list of notable LGBT individuals in 2013. Additionally, he was one of the “Leading Men” featured on the cover of the LGBT American magazine Instinct in the same year. Grand was also listed among Out Magazine’s 100 Most Eligible Bachelors in 2016. He was ranked as the third-most eligible Gay bachelor by Attitude Magazine in May 2017.
