Stormi Henley

Stormi Bree Henley, born on December 6, 1990, in Crossville, Tennessee, first gained public recognition in the beauty pageant circuit. She grew up in Crossville and graduated from Cumberland County High School in 2009. During her high school years, she participated in soccer, golf, and theatre, initially considering a career as an occupational therapist. Her journey in beauty pageants began with winning the Miss Tennessee Teen USA title in October 2008. The following year, in July 2009, Henley represented Tennessee at the Miss Teen USA pageant held in Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. On July 31, 2009, she was crowned Miss Teen USA, becoming the second contestant from Tennessee to achieve this title. Her reign as Miss Teen USA involved various appearances on behalf of the Miss Universe Organization.

Following her success in pageantry, Henley explored opportunities in the music industry. In 2011, she auditioned for season 10 of American Idol, appearing in one episode before being eliminated during the first round of Hollywood Week. She later joined the music group U.G.L.Y. (Underneath Greatness Lies You) in 2012, which was signed to Chris Brown’s recording label, CBE. Henley initially planned to pursue a country music career under Brown’s label but instead joined U.G.L.Y. as the lead vocalist, replacing Teyana Taylor. She has since released original music as Stormi Bree, with three music videos for her songs “Intangible” (2018), “Northern Home” (2021), and “Melt” (2022) available on her official YouTube page, collectively garnering over 200,000 views. Her involvement in music expanded to directing, as she is credited with directing the visuals for “Melt” and co-directing “Intangible.”

In addition to her music career, Henley has also ventured into acting and modeling. Between 2015 and 2021, she took on minor roles in several short films, music videos, and direct-to-video productions. Notably, she appeared as Dvora in the “Boyle’s Hunch” episode of the television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine in 2015. Her acting credits also include roles in the short films Midland (2015) and Shiny (2016), as well as playing Sara in the 2016 sci-fi film 2307: Winter’s Dream and Summer in the 2021 comedy Hot Water.
