Summer Ross

Summer Ross is a professional beach volleyball player known for her multiple World Championship titles and her consistent performance on both domestic and international tours. After making history in 2010 by becoming the first player ever to clinch both the FIVB Youth Under-19 and Junior Under-21 World Championships in the same year, Summer Ross was named USA Volleyball’s Beach Female Athlete of the Year. Throughout her junior career, Ross consistently achieved top placements at international events, including fifth-place finishes at the 2009 U19 and U21 World Championships. At Pepperdine, Ross led her team to win both the inaugural team and pairs AVCA National Championships and was recognized as a Division I Collegiate Beach All-American.

She also secured a Gold Medal at the World University Championships in 2012. Ross transitioned to professional beach volleyball full-time in 2013, quickly securing her first AVP title at the Cincinnati Open with Emily Day. The same year, she earned her first FIVB World Tour medal, a silver in Phuket, also partnered with Day. Over her career, Ross has forged significant partnerships with prominent players including Emily Day (2013-2014), Jennifer Fopma (2015), Lane Carico (2015-2016), and Brooke Sweat (2017-2018).

Ross’s professional career continued with Sara Hughes until 2022, maintaining her status as a top competitor. She is widely recognized for her formidable blocking ability, precise hand setting, and powerful offensive game. Summer Ross consistently ranks among the leading players in overall points, kills, and blocks in major tournaments, solidifying her reputation as a distinguished American beach volleyball athlete.
