Sway Calloway

Sway Calloway has established himself as a prominent figure in hip-hop culture and media, transitioning from a successful recording artist to a highly respected journalist and radio personality. After releasing his debut album ‘Concrete Jungle’ in 1990 with DJ King Tech, Sway Calloway went on to establish himself as a prominent figure in hip-hop culture and media. This initial success, following a series of independent album releases with King Tech, secured a major label record deal with Giant Records. His innate ability to connect with audiences laid the foundation for an extensive career spanning music, radio, and television.

Beyond broadcasting, Sway Calloway has established a notable acting career, appearing in ‘The Boondocks’ (2005, 2007), Chris Rock’s film ‘Top Five’ (2014), and recurring roles in ‘Empire’ (2015-2018) and ‘Luke Cage’ (2016, 2018), along with the feature film ‘Death Wish’ (2018). In recognition of his profound impact on the industry, Sway Calloway was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2020. Most recently, Sway has taken on executive producer roles for ‘Celebrity Crime Files’ in 2024 and the upcoming ‘BEATZ N BARZ,’ slated for release in 2025.
