Michelle Menaker, also known as ‘Showbiz Shelly’, is Chicago’s self-proclaimed Pop Culture Princess. At 103.5 KISS FM, she is the noon host and entertainment reporter. Every weekday morning at 7:45 a.m., you can hear her on Fred and Angi. Then, every weekday from 10 a.m. to noon, you cab listen to her on her very own show. Menaker has also regularly reported entertainment news to CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, WCIU, and WTTW.

Menaker used to drive to New Trier High School in Chicago’s North Shore area every day, listening to the radio. Later, she earned a broadcasting degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. When she was the chairman of the Arts and Entertainment segment of Northwestern’s television station, the Northwestern News Network, she really discovered her enthusiasm for entertainment news. Menaker started as an intern in the promotions department at B96 Radio her senior year and worked her way up to morning programme host. She began working at KISS FM in the spring of 2018. During her 13 years as an entertainment reporter, she has met a wide range of superstars, including Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Angelina Jolie, and Michael Jordan. She frequently traveled to Los Angeles to cover events such as the Grammy Awards, movie premieres, and the American Music Awards, among other things.

When she is not covering the entertainment beat, you’ll most likely find Menaker doing yoga, watching some of her favourite TV shows (which include pretty much any reality show, The Bachelor, Chicago Fire, This Is Us, and many others), or playing beach volleyball in the summer.
