Sylvia Marie Membreno is an American real estate agent with a handy sideline in being a serial reality television star. She first came to the non-house-buying public’s attention through her appearances on various seasons of MTV reality shows during the mid-late 2010s. More recently, she appeared on HGTV’s House Hunters as an agent helping a couple to decide about purchasing a property. Through her many TV appearances, she has built an Instagram audience of over 67,000 fans.

Membreno was born Sylvia Elsrode in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1988. In 2014, she appeared as a contestant on MTV’s Real World: Skeletons, in which a group of strangers live together in a house in a new city. She moved to Chicago for the series, in which she was confronted by a “skeleton” from her past: a former “boss from hell” who came to visit the house. Three years later, she became a contestant on the related show, The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions, which took place in Thailand and saw her eliminated during the eighth episode. She then returned for The Challenge: Vendettas in 2018, competing to win a share of $500,000 (she made it to the seventh episode before being knocked out). She then made it a hat-trick by competing on The Challenge: Final Reckoning later that year, finishing a close runner-up.

Membreno was a bartender when she first encountered fame. Today, she is a qualified real estate agent, although her appearances on House Hunters have shown that she has managed to combine her two passions successfully.
