Tarinn Callender received his training at The Arts Educational School. His early career included performances in various theatrical productions such as ‘The Life,’ ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood,’ and ‘Kiss Me, Kate.’ These roles provided a foundation for his subsequent work in more prominent West End productions. He also performed in ‘Dick Whittington and his Cat’ at the Hackney Empire, demonstrating early versatility in his stage career.
Callender made his debut in London’s West End in 2017, joining the original London cast of “Hamilton.” In this acclaimed production, he took on the roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison. His tenure in “Hamilton” extended into its second West End year. Building on this success, Callender was also part of the original West End production of “Come From Away” in 2021, where he performed as a replacement for the roles of Bob and an Ensemble member. His involvement in “The Olivier Awards” further highlights his presence in the London theatre scene.
His career progression continued with notable roles in other West End and theatrical productions. In 2021, he was a performer in “The Drifters Girl” in the West End. More recently, Callender has been cast in “Paddington the Musical” as Grant, set to open in 2025. He also participated in the workshop for ‘Beauty’ (Prince Bert) at NT Studio, and appeared in ‘The Secret Life of Bees’ at Almeida Theatre in 2023. His television credits include roles in ‘Our House’ and ‘Mama Youth,’ alongside involvement in ‘The Theatre Channel’ and ‘Tunde in Party’ (BBC).
