Tevon Coney transitioned from a collegiate standout linebacker at Notre Dame to a professional athlete and now focuses on philanthropy and business ventures, including his ‘Tough Choices Foundation’ and ‘The Business Baller’ brand. After committing to the University of Notre Dame in 2014, Tevon Coney quickly established himself as a standout linebacker for the Fighting Irish. During his true freshman year in 2015, he played in 12 games, contributing 13 tackles. Coney significantly expanded his role in 2016, starting nine of 12 games and accumulating 61 tackles.
His junior year in 2017 marked a career highlight, where he started seven of 13 games and led the team with an impressive 116 tackles and three sacks, before returning for his senior season in 2018. Coney’s professional journey commenced in 2019 when he signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 3. Following his initial waiver on August 31, 2019, he re-signed to the practice squad on December 11, 2019. After his practice squad contract concluded on January 6, 2020, Coney signed a reserve/future contract with the Raiders on January 24, 2020, though he was waived again on May 5, 2020.
