Travers Beynon, born on March 6, 1972, is an Australian businessman and entrepreneur. Before entering the tobacco industry, Beynon pursued a career in Australian Rules Football, which concluded due to an injury. Subsequently, he worked as a model in New York prior to taking over his family’s tobacco business. In 1997, Beynon returned to Australia and began investing in real estate, reportedly making significant and valuable property acquisitions. He is currently the Managing Director of the Freechoice tobacco chain, which reportedly operates over 300 stores across Australia, with approximately 275 being franchised locations. The business also manages 1,700 cigarette vending machines nationwide, generating revenues exceeding $250 million annually.

Beynon is widely recognized for his public persona as “The Candyman,” particularly notable for his extravagant lifestyle showcased through social media. This includes hosting large parties at his “Candyland” mansion in Helensvale, Queensland, characterized by lavish settings and numerous guests. His social media presence frequently features high-end vehicles such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Rolls Royces, contributing to his image as a prominent social figure.

In December 2023, Beynon listed his “Candy Shop Mansion” for sale, citing a desire to begin a new chapter following the arrival of his fifth child. This property, originally acquired in 2010 and expanded in 2014 to 1.4 acres, features a 60,000 square-foot residence with 14 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a grand ballroom, a large outdoor pool, a nine-car basement garage, and a 15-seat movie theater. The mansion has been a venue for numerous high-profile events, including annual parties that have garnered public attention. He maintains an active presence on Facebook and TikTok, although these platforms have seen less recent activity compared to his past prolific sharing.
