With a robust discography spanning over a decade, Thundamentals cemented their significant presence in Australian hip hop with their album So We Can Remember, which peaked at number 3 on the ARIA charts in 2014 and earned an AIR Awards nomination for Best Independent Hip Hop/Urban Album. Comprising Brendan Tuckerman (Tuka), Jesse Ferris (Jeswon), and Morgan Jones (Morgs), the group officially formed in 2008 and released their debut album, Sleeping On Your Style, in 2009. Their early career saw them featured at Festival First Night in Sydney in 2010, followed by their 2011 album, Foreverlution, which reached number 64 on the ARIA charts. Their Like a Version recording of Matt Corby’s ‘Brother’ further boosted their profile, being voted into the Triple J Hottest 100 at number 49 in 2012, alongside J Awards nominations for Australian Video of the Year and Australian Album of the Year.
