Tim Hasselbeck

Tim Hasselbeck transitioned from an NFL quarterback to a prominent sports analyst and now a high school head football coach. His career spans professional football, extensive broadcast media work with ESPN, and a return to coaching at the high school level. After earning All-America honors from USA Today and Player of the Year accolades from both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald during his senior year of high school, Tim Hasselbeck went on to a decorated collegiate career as quarterback for the Boston College Eagles (1996-2000). In his high school senior year, Hasselbeck recorded 1,970 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and five rushing touchdowns, also earning the Gatorade New England Player of the Year award.

Scanlan Award in 2000. Hasselbeck then began his professional NFL career in 2001, signing as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills. His NFL playing career included stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens, and Arizona Cardinals. In 2002, he was a World Bowl X Champion with the Berlin Thunder.

During his tenure, he also co-hosted Fantasy Football Now on ESPN2 and ESPN.com, and became an NFL analyst on Scott Van Pelt’s post-MNF SportsCenter in 2018. He also made appearances on SportsNet New York and Sirius NFL Radio, establishing himself as a versatile and respected voice in football commentary. In December 2023, Hasselbeck announced his departure from broadcasting, with the Gator Bowl serving as his final broadcast for ESPN. He subsequently took on the role of Head Football Coach at The Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee, later that month.
