Tim Williams

Tim Williams, recognized globally as the face of Trivago.com since 2012, has built a diverse acting career across American and German productions. His acting trajectory began in the United States with early roles on acclaimed television series, including his first official credited role on My So-Called Life alongside Claire Danes and an appearance in The Sopranos. A significant turning point came in 2001 when Williams secured a lead role in a German film, prompting his relocation to Germany. He diligently committed to learning German, achieving fluency without an accent, which enabled him to work extensively in German television and film.

This period included a notable role as Kurt Le Roy, portraying an American rock star in the popular German soap opera Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten from 2011 to 2013. Williams’ international profile significantly increased with his role as the spokesman for Trivago.com, a commercial campaign he began in 2012 that elevated his recognition across the United States and globally. Alongside his commercial success, he continued to pursue major film roles. He appeared as a Doctor in the acclaimed historical thriller Valkyrie (2008) starring Tom Cruise, followed by his role as Europol Cell Guard in Ninja Assassin (2009).

Most recently, Williams showcased his comedic talent as Jacob in the festive television movie A Heidelberg Holiday (2023).
