Transviolet is an innovative alternative pop-rock band that emerged from the United States in 2015, featuring lead vocalist Sarah McTaggart alongside musicians Judah McCarthy, Michael Panek, and Jon Garcia. The band initially formed online, with McTaggart and Panek connecting through a musicians’ networking site. Their collaboration flourished when they relocated to the West Coast, where they began to create music together in person.
