Trevion Williams

Trevion Williams, born on September 16, 2000, in Chicago, Illinois, began his basketball journey in his hometown, learning the fundamentals from his father. His early talent was evident at Mount Carmel High School, where he led the freshman team to an undefeated 26-0 record. Following a personal tragedy, Williams moved to Detroit, Michigan, attending Henry Ford Academy School for Creative Studies. During his junior year, he averaged 22 points and 25 rebounds per game, including five triple-doubles, earning him the Michigan Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Year. In his senior season, he maintained strong performance with averages of 20 points and 21 rebounds per game, guiding his team to a district title. Despite early struggles with weight, reaching 320 lbs in high school, Williams was a highly-touted four-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals, ultimately committing to Purdue University.

Williams joined the Purdue Boilermakers men’s basketball team, where he made significant career strides. Initially weighing 325 lbs, he dedicated himself to fitness, losing 50 lbs by December of his freshman year. His impactful performances, such as a 16-point, 13-rebound game against Rutgers in 2019, solidified his role. As a sophomore, Williams led his team with 11.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, earning an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention. His junior year marked new career highs with 15.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, leading to First-Team All-Big Ten honors from coaches and Second-Team from media. He briefly declared for the 2021 NBA Draft before returning for his senior year, where he earned the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year award and Third Team All-Big Ten.

Following his collegiate career, Williams declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, going undrafted. He participated in the NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics and later signed with the Golden State Warriors before being waived. In 2022, he joined the Santa Cruz Warriors and was later traded to the Capital City Go-Go in 2023, both in the NBA G League. His professional career then moved to Europe, signing with ratiopharm Ulm of the Basketball Bundesliga in 2023, where he excelled, averaging 14.2 points and 9.4 rebounds. Williams led the EuroCup in rebounds per game (10.8) during his 18 appearances with Ulm. In 2024, he signed with Alba Berlin and subsequently with Maccabi Tel Aviv, before joining Bahçeşehir Koleji in 2025. Williams also represented the United States, winning a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup, averaging 8.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
