The brilliant sportsman Trevor Baptiste is a professional lacrosse player, who is a face-off specialist for the Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, and for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He is a 3x PLL Face-off Athlete of the Year award winner (2019, 2021, 2022), and has also represented Team USA on the international stage, helping them win Gold at the World Lacrosse Championships in 2018.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Baptiste was on the lacrosse and swimming teams during his High School years, going on to be named to the 2014 US Lacrosse All-American Team, and to The Star Ledger’s First Team All-State. He continued to play during his time at the University of Denver, forging a remarkable NCAA college career, being named 4x First Team All-American, 4x Big East Midfielder of the Year, and 4x First Team All-Big East, as well as breaking the NCAA record for Face-off wins by a freshman in a DI season between 2014 and 2018. After graduating he turned professional when he was drafted by the Boston Cannons of the Major League Lacrosse in 2018. He then joined the newly formed Premier Lacrosse League side Atlas Lacrosse Club in 2019, and has since been named 3x All-Star, 3x Face-Off Athlete of the Year, and the Jim Brown Most Valuable Player 2022. He also plays for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League.
