Named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Defensive Player of the Year during his senior season in 2010-11, Troy Payne concluded his collegiate basketball career with notable achievements. Playing for the Santa Clara Broncos men’s basketball team from 2009 to 2011, he started every game in the 2009-10 season, leading the team with 52 steals and averaging 4.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 steals over 32 games. In his senior year across 38 games, he averaged 5.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.6 steals. Prior to Santa Clara, Payne attended Citrus College for two seasons (20072009), where he was instrumental in securing a conference championship and a state title in his freshman year.
Additionally, he holds the prestigious designation of an NBPA Certified Agent, allowing him to directly represent and advocate for professional basketball players in their careers, a role he actively fulfills in Los Angeles.
