Ugo Humbert

Ugo Humbert was born on June 26, 1998, in Metz, France. He began playing tennis at a young age, with his talent becoming evident during his junior career. At 12, he moved to Poitiers to train with the French Tennis Federation. Despite facing setbacks due to injuries that kept him from playing for a year and a half, Humbert persevered. In 2015, he reached the doubles final at the Abierto Juvenil Mexicano. He turned professional in 2016.

Humbert’s senior career began to gain momentum in 2017 when he won his first ITF Futures title in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. The following year, he made his Grand Slam singles debut at the US Open and achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 99 after winning his second Challenger title in Ortisei. The year 2019 saw him reach his first tour-level semifinal in Marseilles and the fourth round of a Grand Slam at Wimbledon, making his top 50 debut shortly after. He continued to climb the ranks, securing his first two ATP Tour titles in 2020 at the Auckland Open and European Open, leading to his debut in the top 30.

In 2021, Humbert won his first ATP 500 title at the Halle Open, reaching a career-high ATP ranking of No. 25. He also represented France at the Summer Olympics, reaching the quarterfinals. Despite an early end to his 2021 season due to injury, he returned to form, winning his seventh Challenger title in 2022. By 2023, he became the French No. 1, won his fourth ATP title at the Moselle Open, and entered the top 20 rankings. In 2024, he continued his success by winning a second ATP 500 title at the Dubai Tennis Championships and reaching his first Masters 1000 final at the Paris Masters, ultimately achieving a career-high ranking of No. 13 in April 2024. In 2025, he reached the fourth round of the Australian Open.
