Valentina Rodini

Valentina Rodini, born on January 28, 1995, in Cremona, Italy, began her rowing career at a young age. She quickly progressed through junior competitions, demonstrating talent and dedication to the sport. Rodini first gained international recognition at the 2013 World Rowing Junior Championships where she secured a gold medal, marking an early significant achievement in her career. Her performance continued to develop, leading her to represent Italy on the international stage.

Rodini’s career saw a turning point with her participation in the 2016 Summer Olympics, competing in the women’s lightweight double sculls. Although not medaling in 2016, this experience provided valuable competitive exposure at the highest level. She continued to achieve success, earning a bronze medal at the 2015 Summer Universiade in lightweight double sculls and a gold medal at the 2018 Mediterranean Games in lightweight single sculls. These achievements showcased her versatility and consistency in the sport.

A pinnacle of her career came at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where Rodini, alongside Federica Cesarini, won a gold medal in the lightweight double sculls event.
