Waleed Al Farraj began his impactful television career in 1998, serving as the executive producer for the broadcast of the Saudi League for five years. In this pivotal role, he directed the technical and artistic aspects for major regional channels including ART Sport, Abu Dhabi, Al Jazeera Sport, and Line Sport, establishing himself as a key figure in regional sports broadcasting. Earlier in his career, Al Farraj launched his journalism work in 1985, rising to deputy managing editor of the sports pages at Al-Yaum newspaper in Dammam. He further solidified his influence by co-founding and serving as deputy editor of The Saudi Sports Journal until 2003, where he honed his insightful commentary on Saudi football.
He immediately took the helm of Action Ya Dawry, a daily program dedicated to covering highlights of the Saudi football league, a role he continues to hold. He currently serves as the general manager of an internet services company, overseeing its strategic direction. Additionally, he holds the position of general manager for the Saudi Dallah Group, further showcasing his leadership capabilities across multiple sectors.
