Wes Nelson

Wesley Nelson was born on March 18, 1998, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England. He first gained public recognition in 2018 as a contestant on the fourth series of the ITV2 reality dating show, “Love Island.” During his time on the show, he reached the final alongside Megan Barton-Hanson, finishing in fourth place. Following his successful run on “Love Island,” Nelson transitioned into other prominent television appearances, expanding his reach in the entertainment industry.

In 2019, Nelson continued his reality television journey by competing in the eleventh series of “Dancing on Ice,” where he was partnered with Vanessa Bauer and achieved the position of runner-up. The same year, he participated in “The X Factor: Celebrity” as part of the group No Love Lost, which included other former “Love Island” stars. These television engagements established him as a recognizable personality across various entertainment formats.

A significant career turning point occurred in August 2020 when Nelson announced he had signed a solo record deal with EMI Records. His debut single, “See Nobody,” featuring Hardy Caprio, was released on September 17, 2020, and was certified Platinum. He followed this with “Nice to Meet Ya” featuring Yxng Bane in April 2021, which was certified Silver. In 2021, he was also featured on Clean Bandit and Topic’s track “Drive,” which received Gold certification. Nelson’s diverse career also includes a win on “The Games” in May 2022, showcasing his athletic capabilities.
