Jason-Shane Scott, born on December 29, 1976, in Southern California, began his career in the entertainment industry after pursuing acting classes and modeling following his high school graduation from Wooster High School, where he excelled in sports. His initial ventures included appearances in films such as “Shrieker” and “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss,” as well as music videos for Aerosmith. A significant turning point in his early career was securing the role of Will Rappaport on the daytime serial “One Life to Live” in 1998, which led him to New York City. During his three years on the show, he garnered two Soap Opera Digest Award nominations for Outstanding Male Newcomer in 1999 and Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in 2000, and also received a Daytime Emmy nomination.
