Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson has established a distinguished career in film and television, earning critical acclaim and a reputation for versatile performances. After gaining widespread recognition for his role as bartender Woody Boyd on the popular TV series Cheers (1985–1993), which earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1989, Woody Harrelson went on to establish a distinguished career in film and television. During his eight-year tenure on Cheers, Harrelson expanded his presence into film, notably appearing in Doc Hollywood (1991), White Men Can’t Jump (1992), and Indecent Proposal (1993), marking his versatility across genres. Harrelson’s film career significantly advanced with his role as Mickey Knox in Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers (1994).

A significant turning point in his career was securing the role of Haymitch Abernathy in The Hunger Games film series (2012–2015), which became a major global success. His role as Steve Schmidt in the HBO movie Game Change (2012) further showcased his dramatic range, earning him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
