Xia-Louise Brooks, known by her ring name Xia Brookside, was born on October 16, 1998, in Leicester, England. As a second-generation professional wrestler, following in the footsteps of her father Robbie Brookside, she began her training under her father, Dean Allmark, and Robbie Dynamite. Her in-ring debut took place on August 2, 2015, with All Star Wrestling in Liverpool, where she teamed with El Ligero to defeat Kay Lee Ray and Sammy D, marking the start of her professional career. She quickly established herself on the British independent circuit, appearing in promotions such as International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom, Southside Wrestling Entertainment, and Kamikaze Pro. A significant early achievement includes winning the Empress Pro Invitational in May 2016, where she defeated Toni Storm and Kay Lee Ray.
Brookside’s career saw a major turning point when she began working with World Wonder Ring Stardom in Japan in 2017. Her performances there, including gaining points in the 5STAR Grand Prix by defeating Kris Wolf, further enhanced her reputation. In 2018, she gained international recognition after being announced for the second WWE Mae Young Classic. Although she was eliminated in the first round by Io Shirai, this appearance led to her signing with WWE’s NXT UK brand. As part of NXT UK, she participated in a tournament for the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Championship, showcasing her skills on a larger platform for several years, from 2018 to 2022. During her tenure, she engaged in feuds with competitors like Jinny and featured in numerous episodes of NXT UK.
After her release from WWE in August 2022, Brookside returned to Stardom as part of Club Venus, alongside Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa, further extending her international experience until 2024. In January 2024, she made her debut with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) at Hard to Kill, officially joining the company. Her career progression demonstrates a continuous effort to compete at high levels across different promotions, accumulating titles such as the Pro Wrestling Ulster Women’s Championship and the IPW:UK Women’s Championship. Her journey reflects a dedication to professional wrestling, performing in various countries and for multiple prominent organizations.
