Xochitl Gomez is an American actress best known for playing Dawn Schafer in the Netflix comedy-drama series The Baby-Sitters Club, based on Ann M. Martin’s children’s novel series of the same name. For her outstanding performance on the series she was included in Variety magazine’s Power Of Young Hollywood issue. Gomez went on to win Best Supporting Teen Artist at the 2020 Young Artist Awards for her role as Chucky in the film Shadow Wolves. Gomez was cast as America Chavez in the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in 2020, solidifying her place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Gomez began performing in youth musical theater productions at the age of five, and by the age of 10, she had graduated to commercials and minor television appearances. She gained the most of her early acting experience in short films shot in Los Angeles, where she grew up.
