Yachtley Crew, stylized as Yächtley Crëw, is an American yacht rock band that emerged from Los Angeles, California, in 2017. Known for their distinctive nautical attire and energetic performances, the band quickly gained traction in the music scene, earning the title of “Best Cover Band” by OC Weekly in 2018. Their unique blend of 1970s and 1980s soft rock hits has drawn comparisons to iconic acts, with the Las Vegas Review Journal describing them as a trend-setter and a refreshing wave in the music industry.
The band’s early years were marked by collaborations with original artists, including Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass and Peter Beckett of Player, which showcased their authenticity and respect for the genre. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Yachtley Crew made a triumphant return to the stage with their first national tour in 2021, performing to sold-out crowds across the United States and further solidifying their reputation as a premier live act.
In 2022, Yachtley Crew took a significant step in their career by signing with Mailboat Records, a label owned by the legendary Jimmy Buffett. This partnership opened new avenues for the band, culminating in the release of their debut record, “Seas the Day,” on July 14, 2023. Produced by renowned sound engineer Chris Lord-Alge, the album has been well-received, further establishing the band’s presence in the yacht rock genre.
As they continue to grow, Yachtley Crew is set to embark on their 2024 Full Steam Ahead tour, maintaining a residency at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. With their infectious energy and dedication to the craft, Yachtley Crew is poised to make waves in the music industry for years to come.
