United States Yachtley Crew brings the smooth sounds of 70s and 80s soft rock to audiences, solidifying their presence as a prominent 'Yacht Rock' tribute act and recording artist.
Following the passing of Jimmy Buffett, Yachtley Crew signed with Earache Records in 2024, under which they released their Christmas mini-album 'Seas and Greetings'.

Yachtley Crew, stylized as Yächtley Crëw, emerged in 2017 from Los Angeles, California, quickly establishing themselves as a premier ‘yacht rock’ band. Their performances are characterized by nautical attire and a repertoire of soft rock hits from the 1970s and 1980s. The band garnered early recognition, being voted 2018’s “Best Cover Band” by OC Weekly, which noted their unique style as “the Steel Panther of the high seas.” This early accolade highlighted their capacity to entertain and connect with audiences through a distinctive persona and faithful renditions of classic songs. The band has performed with original artists such as Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass and Peter Beckett of Player, demonstrating their musical competence and appeal within the genre.
Following a period of limited touring in 2020, Yachtley Crew embarked on their first national tour across the United States in 2021, expanding their reach and fan base. A significant turning point in their career occurred in 2022 when they signed a record deal with Mailboat Records, the label owned by Jimmy Buffett. This partnership led to the release of their debut album, “Seas the Day,” on July 14, 2023. The album, produced and mixed by industry veteran Chris Lord-Alge, showcased their interpretations of beloved yacht rock tracks.
After Jimmy Buffett’s passing in 2023, the band sought a new record deal and subsequently signed with Earache Records in 2024. Under this new label, they released a Christmas mini-album titled “Seas and Greetings,” also produced by Chris Lord-Alge. This festive release featured covers of classic holiday songs and an original track, “Home for Christmas.” In November 2024, Yachtley Crew was featured in the HBO documentary “Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary.” They have also confirmed plans for a new album in 2025, which will include the song “Pain of Losing You,” written by Diane Warren, and a selection of 70s and 80s American songbook favorites. The band has also maintained a three-year residency at Palms Las Vegas, further cementing their status as a consistent live act.
