American musician Zach Myers is known for playing bass and guitar with multi-million selling rock group Shinedown. Since forming in 2001, the group has had a record-breaking 16 number one hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts, including the likes of ‘Cut the Cord’, ‘DEVIL’, and ‘45’. Their songs have been streamed hundreds of millions of times and three of their six albums to date have gone platinum. Myers has also played with The Fairwell and is the founder and CEO of Cursed Management Group, whose talent stables includes Memphis rock band Sore Eyes.
Shinedown are quite simply one of the most successful American rock bands of this century. Myers originally worked with the band as a back-up touring guitarist but was promoted to the main line-up in 2008, just as the band’s first top-ten album, The Sound of Madness was released, selling 50,000 copies in its first week and staying in the charts for over two years. The success of the album saw them nominated for Best International Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards and Favourite Alternative Artist at the American Music Awards. Their most recent album, 2018’s Attention Attention charted worldwide, making the UK Top Ten, the US Billboard Top Five and number one in three separate US rock charts. Its four singles all topped the US Mainstream Rock Charts.
Away from Shinedown, Myers was also part of supergroup The Fairwell, who were formed before Myers joined Shinedown but whose members have all gone on to success in other bands. Their final album, Schizophrenic Love Songs, dropped in 2021.
