KYYNGG

Kailus James, known professionally as KYYNGG, was born on August 13, 1995, in the United States, and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He developed an interest in rapping during elementary school, influenced by local artists such as Hot Boys and Soulja Slim. In his mid-teens, KYYNGG relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, a prominent center for hip-hop music, which marked a turning point in his career. This move facilitated his professional entry into the music industry, where he began releasing mixtapes and singles under record labels including Spinnup and Raw Entertainment.

Since 2016, KYYNGG has released multiple mixtapes, such as “Praise We,” “Kyyngg Slime,” and “Slime Season 3.” He titled his 2016 mixtape “Slime Season 3” as a tribute to Young Thug, who released a mixtape of the same name concurrently. His discography also includes well-known tracks like “Bloodaz” and “Rich & Wild.” KYYNGG has engaged in collaborations with other artists, including Big K.R.I.T. and Prynce Montana, expanding his musical reach and presence in the rap community. His work has gained widespread popularity across social media platforms.

KYYNGG maintains a notable online presence, with over 230,000 followers on Instagram and more than 35,000 subscribers on YouTube. His music is available on platforms such as SoundCloud and Spotify. In 2018, KYYNGG performed at Drip Fest, a festival featuring hip hop and EDM acts. In 2021, he released the official video for his track “Slime Talk [ Intro ],” which has accumulated over 110,000 views on YouTube.
