Jacqueline Jossa joined Katie Piper on her podcast to raise awareness of postpartum hair loss in collaboration with Pantene Pro-V.
A surprisingly common yet widely unspoken about condition is post-partum hair loss. Hair loss is often caused by unavoidable hormonal triggers such as puberty, and post-partum is another life moment when female hair toss typically occurs. In fact, over 80% of women in Europe complain of suffering from hair damage. While its a surprisingly common and normal problem for most women at one stage or another, this issue is rarely discussed.
“No one warns you about it. When I went back to filming [EastEnders], I remember [my hair] was terrible! Lauren Branning always used to wear buns and I couldn’t do it because my hair was spikey!”
Jacqueline Jossa on post-partum hair loss
English actress Jacqueline Jossa is widely recognised for her role as Lauren Branning in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. Jossa recently appeared on Katie Piper’s Extaordinary People, a popular British podcast that showcases inspirational people from a variety of backgrounds. The appearance was a collaboration with the newly revealed Pantene Pro-V Miracles Grow Strong collection, a line of products that help to reduce hair loss and promote stronger hair. In the podcast, she discusses being totally unfamiliar with post-partum hair loss until experiencing it herself. The episode was released March 19 and is available now on all platforms.
“It has been amazing to work with a brand like Pantene, and to be joined by such incredible talent: Jacqueline Jossa and Katie Piper. The podcast is both humorous, warm, and inspirational.”
