UK Garage stalwart DJ Cartier launched his brand new quarterly mix series, ‘It’s Carts’, this weekend.
The series, in Cartier’s own words, is “just about the music.” The mixes are set to cover everything in UK garage, from genuine classics to upfront bass and more.
The first instalment in this series features music from Royal T, DJ Q, Preditah, Cause & Affect and many others in its one hour runtime. The mix combines great tracks from every corner of the UK garage scene. Highlights include an appearance of Craig David’s ‘When the Bassline Drops’ and Kano’s chilled out 2005 track ‘Nobody Don’t Dance No More’.
The quality of this mix comes as no surprise. DJ Cartier has been one of the most prominent and influential DJs on the UK garage scene for years. His weekly show on Rinse FM showcases the best in UK garage, bass and house, and his Bars with Carts project allows the best up and coming MCs to display their talents over DJ Cartier’s beats.
Since his Boiler Room set brought him international attention, DJ Cartier has been one of the busiest DJs on the scene. Thankfully, this newfound fame hasn’t stopped Cartier’s commitment to the garage underground, and this new mix series is sure to prove it.
