UKG maestro DJ Cartier has announced the return of his popular Bars with Carts series, but with a brand new twist.

This weekend, the UK garage world was set alight by news that DJ Cartier would be bringing back his wildly popular series Bars with Carts. With 16 entries in the series so far, Bars with Carts has seen top MCs freestyle over Cartier’s DJ sets, including Dappa, Sharky P, MC Neat, Maxwell D, and most recently B Live.

Now, after two years away, Bars with Carts is back. DJ Cartier took to Facebook to make the announcement, explaining that this time things will be a little different. Bars with Carts Introducing… presents up and coming rappers with an unprecedented opportunity to establish themselves on the Garage scene. Fans are urged to go to the DJ’s Soundcloud to download the Bars with Carts Introducing Instrumental Mix, record their own verse over the top of it, and send the results to DJ Cartier, who will then select a winner. The winner will be invited to perform an entire Bars with Carts set with the DJ himself when the series officially returns later in the year.

DJ Cartier started 2018 on a high, coming off the back of his hugely successful Ministry of Sound compilation Garage XXV, which he mixed and selected himself. Featuring 100 classic garage anthems spread across four discs, the set has enough to satisfy even the genre’s most hardcore fans.
