We are pleased to welcome house and bass talent Tom Shorterz to the MN2S booking agency DJ roster this week.
A mainstay of the Birmingham scene for over a decade, his explosive style draws on various shades of thumping house music, grime and bass styles, cutting vocals over huge drops and high-impact basslines throughout his vibrant sets.
His 2:31 party at The Rainbow Warehouse has become one of his home city’s best-loved nights, picking up a Mixmag Night Of The Month accolade and bringing the likes of Jesse Perez, Roska, Katy B, Shy FX, DJ EZ and Mistajam to the hallowed venue. It also spawned the legendary 10:31 parties in the process.
His monthly show on Rinse FM continues to grow in popularity, while his production career continues to blossom following a decade of hard graft and fine-tuning. Releases on Virgin EMI (‘Colours’ with Lucy Love), Four40 Records (‘Wot U Do’) and several on Rinse (‘Bump’ being the latest) have established him as a hot property, alongside a remix of Hot Natured’s ‘Reverse Skydiving’, featured on Richy Ahmed’s Rinse compilation.
Recent highlights include a premier of new track ‘Gas Pipe’ by Hannah Wants on BBC Radio 1, a sought-after Ms. Dynamite & Trilla version ‘War Dub’ and his Tom Shorterz Vol. 2 mixtape. This month also sees him play alongside Hannah Wants, No Artificial Colours and DJ Barely Legal in the legendary main room at fabric in London, and he hosts his final 10:31 party of the year on December 5 with DJ Q, Flava D and Royal T.
