MN2S welcomes Will Clarke to the booking agency DJ roster this week.

Splitting his time between Bristol, where he was born and raised, and Ibiza, where he DJs regularly, Clarke’s sound combines booming Bristol Bass with heavy House from the Ibiza shores.

After honing his craft for years, Clarke started turning heads in 2014 with the release of his Anabatic Records EP. The EP featured the track ‘Big Booty’, which quickly became an underground hit. Any DJ worth their salt was playing ‘Big Booty’ in Summer 2014. This includes Radio 1’s Jamie Jones, who opened his Glastonbury set with it, and 1Xtra DJs Hannah Wants and MistaJam, who featured the track on their shows. The success of ‘Big Booty’ gave Clarke the chance to tour Australia with the Ministry of Sound in autumn 2014.

At the end of the year, Clarke was signed by Dirtybird and he released the EP ‘The Boogie Woogie’ with them at the start of 2015. The EP was hugely successful once again, this time being played by Annie Mac and Nemone.

Clarke says he makes music for the people in the clubs, not for the DJs. Ironically enough, this has gained him even more respect from spinners who love his audience-orientated approach to club music.

2016 is set to be a big year for Will Clarke. He already has shows lined up in New York with Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke, and a North American tour with fellow MN2S signee Billy Kenny afterwards. With more releases in the pipeline from Dirtybird, there’s no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot more of Will Clarke on both sides of the Atlantic.
