For the last four years running, the biggest and best in house music have descended upon London’s Trent Park for the 51st State Festival. This summer, the festival celebrates its fifth birthday with an even bigger show than last year’s sold out venture.
This time around, 51st State will have sevenstages that will span the 413 acres of green space just outside of London’shustle and bustle. These stages will host various labels, parties stations from acrossEngland including Hot WUK, Disco Disco, House FM, Found, Backto95, We LoveSoul, and Groove Odyssey. Around thatincreased number of stages will also be vast improvements over last year’sfacilities, including an expanded VIP area.
All of these improvements are fantastic for the fans who will be attending the festival this August, but the real reason people travel from around the world for this epic party is not for the revised queue system or the extended VIP area – they come for the music.
This year’s first wave of line-up announcements are sure to make any house fan rejoice: in addition to classic house vocalist Robert Owens, headliners include Kings of House (Louie Vega & David Morales), Dennis Ferrer, Dimitri From Paris, Soul Clap, Mood II Swing, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Kevin Saunderson, Todd Edwards, Norman Jay, Joey Negro, Crazy P Soundsystem, Wookie, and DJ Luck & MC Neat. In addition to these great acts, there will be live performances from Julie McKnight, Tanya Stephens, Crystal Waters, Melba Moore, Joyce Sims, and Kele Le Roc.
