Dirty South, a Serbian-Australian DJ and record producer, has made significant strides in the electronic music scene since his early beginnings in Melbourne. His career took off when he began experimenting with music production at the age of 13, using his family’s computer to create remixes and mashups. This innovative spirit caught the attention of Vicious Vinyl records, leading to his signing in 2005 and marking the start of a successful professional journey.

Throughout his career, Dirty South has garnered numerous accolades, including two ARIA nominations for ‘Best Dance Release’ in 2005 and 2006. His remix of Evermore’s ‘It’s Too Late’ topped the Australian Club Charts, showcasing his ability to resonate with audiences. In 2007, he was recognized as the ‘Most Popular Producer Nationally’ in the InTheMix 50 DJ Poll, further solidifying his status in the industry. His collaboration with British DJ Paul Harris on ‘Better Day’ earned him essential radio play, highlighting his knack for creating chart-topping hits.

Dirty South’s talent extends beyond production; he has collaborated with a plethora of renowned artists, including Snoop Dogg, Kaskade, and David Guetta. His remix of Kaskade’s ‘Sorry’ earned a Grammy nomination in 2008, and he received another nomination in 2011 for his remix of The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition.’ These achievements underscore his influence and versatility as a producer.

In 2012, Dirty South released ‘City of Dreams’ with Alesso, which quickly ascended to the top of the Beatport charts. This success was complemented by his largest North American tour, the City of Dreams Tour, which showcased his dynamic performances across major cities.
