Dirty South

Dragan Roganovi?, known as Dirty South, is a Serbian-Australian DJ, record producer, and remixer with a career spanning over two decades. After his first official production in 2004, Dirty South quickly gained traction, securing a contract with Australian record label Vicious Vinyl in 2005. He earned two ARIA Award nominations for ‘Best Dance Release’ for ‘Sleazy’ in 2005 and for his album ‘Dirty South’ in 2006. That year, his remix of Evermore’s ‘It’s Too Late’ hit number one on the Australian Club Charts.

In 2007, he was voted ‘Most Popular Producer Nationally’ in the InTheMix 50 DJ Poll and became the first Australian artist since 1999 to receive Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune award. A testament to his sustained influence, Dirty South has consistently ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ poll every year since 2007. Expanding his global reach, Dirty South released his single ‘Let It Go’ on Axwell’s Axtone record label in 2007. His talent for remixing earned him two Grammy Award nominations: in 2008 for his work on Kaskade’s ‘Sorry,’ and in 2011 for his remix of The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’ with Axwell.

His extensive body of work, marked by chart-topping hits, two Grammy nominations, and collaborations with a diverse array of international artists, underscores his enduring impact. He continues to be a driving force in electronic music, celebrated for his dynamic sound and groundbreaking contributions to the genre.
