Jonas Blue

Jonas Blue is a British DJ, record producer, songwriter, and remixer known for his commercially successful dance-pop and tropical house tracks. After gaining significant traction in 2015 with his tropical house cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1988 single ‘Fast Car,’ Jonas Blue achieved immense commercial success. Featuring Dakota, his debut single peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, notably outcharting Chapman’s original in the UK. The track also soared to number one in Germany, Sweden, Australia, and New Zealand.

His impact was recognized with a nomination for Best Push Act at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2017, Blue released ‘Mama’ featuring William Singe, reaching number four on the UK Singles Chart. Both ‘Fast Car’ (2017) and ‘Mama’ (2018) garnered Brit Awards nominations for British Single of the Year. In 2017, Blue expanded his discography with the compilation album ‘Jonas Blue: Electronic Nature – The Mix 2017’ and produced ‘Heartline’ for Craig David.

Blue also launched the ‘Endless Summer’ project with Sam Feldt, releasing tracks like ‘Til The End’ and ‘Rest of My Life’. Additional collaborations that year included ‘Perfect Melody’ with Julian Perretta and ‘Always Be There’ with Louisa Johnson. Most recently, Jonas Blue released his Japanese album, ‘Together’, in 2024, continuing to build on a career defined by commercially successful dance-pop and tropical house tracks.
